Dean Piper
Whidbey Island has been home to the Piper’s since 1982 thanks to the Navy.  Wanting to keep the family here after 21 years as a Search and Rescue aircrewman,  his retirement in 1988 led him to the Hearth Industry.  His 20 years of experience has been gained working with the inventor of the pellet stove, Jerry Whitfield and later covering the entire New England region for Lennox Hearth Products as the only field technician in the area.  In 2004 the decision was made not to make the move to New England and the dream of opening his own Retail and Service company was founded.  As the areas only Certified Chimney Sweep & Master Hearth Specialist Dean prides himself in serving and educating all residents in Island, Skagit and San Juan counties.  Free time is spent riding motorcycles and the never ending renovation of their 1900’s farmhouse in Oak Harbor.
